With Second Mevion Proton System Installed at Siteman Cancer Center, Additional Cancer Patients Begin Treatment
The newest addition to the S. Lee Kling Proton Therapy Center features Mevion’s industry-leading HYPERSCAN® technology and Adaptive Aperture® pMLC. HYPERSCAN provides faster and more precise targeted dose delivery to tumors and minimizes the damage to surrounding healthy tissue and sensitive organs at risk.
The proton center at Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah will be the first in the Mountain West.
Mevion notes they are the first company to innovate this new approach to proton therapy and continues to transform the industry and patient care with HYPERSCAN Pencil Beam Scanning.
