CLAiRUS, Brooklyn, New York, recently announced the launch of CLAiRUS, a high-quality transparent face mask, which not only potentially reduces anxiety but also can help bridge the communication gaps commonly associated with typical non-transparent face masks and/or coverings. The excitement surrounding the new mask is skyrocketing.

CLAiRUS notes when it comes to day to day life, many people rely on lip-reading and facial expressions to be able to communicate effectively. Others are suffering from increased anxiety when faces are partially concealed from them by safety masks. As the country continues to make moves to address Covid-19 in the best ways, efforts are also being made to address issues like these, in the hopes of being more inclusive.

“We saw a real need for our transparent masks,” commented a spokesperson from the company. “The world is a happier place when it is more inclusive and that’s what we are working hard on trying to facilitate. The pandemic has been very hard on many people, and efforts like this, we believe, can really help. Protect and serve your community, be kind and be clear!”

According to CLAiRUS, the new mask is a non-medical, fully reusable mask. It’s not FDA-approved as a medical device and it’s also not officially certified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), but it has been specifically designed to help reduce the transmission of Covid-19. Of course, even when wearing the mask, the company points to the need to continue to practice social distancing, wash hands, and refraining from touching eyes or face.
