Cell Microsystems, a provider of innovative tools and scalable solutions for the sorting and isolation of single cells, announced today that James Kane has joined the Company as Director of Sales. Mr. Kane will lead the commercial activity at Cell Microsystems for all Engineered and Array Products, bringing a depth of experience in building out sales and internal commercial processes in biotech markets.
“Cell Microsystems has established a pipeline of products including the AIR System for the automated isolation and recovery of single cells as well as next generation platforms,” said Gary Pace, CEO. “With this momentum we are now well positioned to expand our commercial opportunities and James is the perfect addition to the team to make that happen.”
Kane is an industry veteran. Prior to joining Cell Microsystems, Kane had 10 years of experience selling instruments and consumables for genomics applications at PacBio and QIAGEN, and for single cell biology applications at BD Genomics and Fluidigm.

Mr. Kane will also lead Cell Microsystem’s exhibition at the following upcoming scientific conferences: GLIIFCA/ORVCA in Cincinnati, September 28-30; ASHG in San Diego, October 16-20; and ASCB in San Diego, December 8-12. The Company will be highlighting the AIR System’s capabilities for imaging and sorting based time-course analysis, new software that enables SQL-based data collection and analysis, and new array formats for CRISPR gene editing research.
