Satellite Healthcare Names Eric Weinhandl Senior Director of Analytics and Home Therapies

Satellite Healthcare is pleased to announce that Eric Weinhandl, a highly respected epidemiologist within the home dialysis arena, will be joining Satellite Healthcare as Senior Director of Analytics and Home Therapies.

Eric’s deep and rich background researching chronic kidney disease, in particular dialysis and related pharmaceuticals, will advance our home dialysis analytics capabilities and contribute to advancing clinical initiatives. Eric is recognized internationally for his deep knowledge of home dialysis and unique expertise in home data analytics. He is a sought-after speaker at national and international meetings and is widely published in the field of ESKD.

Eric Weinhandl will be an integral part of Satellite’s focus on innovation, and advancing the company’s analytics and quality strategies. He will work closely with Sumi Sun, Vice President of Analytics and Quality, Dr. Brigitte Schiller, as well as the Medical Clinical Affairs, Research and Operations teams across the organization.

Eric has significantly influenced the organizations for which he has worked, including the United States Renal Data System (USRDS), NxStage/Fresenius Medical Care, and, most recently, Chronic Disease Research Group, where he served as Director of Home Dialysis Research. He has conducted studies in partnership with Amgen, Baxter, DaVita, NxStage, and the Peer Kidney Care Initiative among many others.

Eric graduated from St. Olaf College as valedictorian with a B.A. in Mathematics and attained an M.S. degree in biostatistics and a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. He will join Satellite Healthcare on December 1, 2021.

Jennifer Riter comes to Kindeva from West Pharmaceutical where she spent the past 27 years in various technical and leadership roles, most recently serving as the Senior Director, Business and Technical Operations.
