Getinge announced that it has been awarded an infection control contract from HealthTrust, a national group purchasing organization (GPO) and performance improvement authority for healthcare.
This contract will bring Getinge’s innovative infection control product portfolio to HealthTrust members for the first time in over a decade.
“We are proud that HealthTrust has awarded their respected infection control contract to Getinge,” said Patricia Fitch, President of Getinge North America. “This will give HealthTrust members easier access to our full breadth of infection control solutions that can help to improve the safety and efficiency of sterile processing departments.”
This contract will give HealthTrust members access to Getinge’s family of infection control products at a contract rate. These products and solutions include sterilizers like the GSS67N that are designed to optimize the sterile processing department with faster throughput and help maximize uptime through Getinge Online. The contract also includes a variety of washers including the Getinge S-8668T, Getinge 9100E, and ultrasonic systems. These washers come equipped with features designed to help improve the speed, efficiency, and reliability of the sterile processing department.
“This contract highlights Getinge’s commitment to designing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers,” said John Pietrantoni, Vice President Corporate Accounts. “We have invested heavily in research and development to bring unique solutions to the marketplace that help maximize space at hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), optimize automation and support sustainability goals.”
Getinge will offer individual consulting services to hospitals and healthcare systems that are looking to personalize their space and get the most out of their infection control solutions. Getinge’s products are designed to accommodate the department’s individualized needs such as space constraints, throughput, automation, and connectivity.
The company’s newest washers and sterilizers have been designed with the latest technology to monitor, record, and optimize water, energy, and consumables, like detergent consumption, visible through detailed process reports. This is designed to minimize environmental impact, and promote sustainability throughout all sterile processing processes.
“This contract is a reflection of our commitment to delivering sustainable products and solutions to hospital systems to improve workflows and aid in the safety of patients and healthcare workers,” said Ms. Fitch. “We are excited for the thousands of HealthTrust members who now have special access to our infection control product portfolio.”
