Lōkahi Therapeutics™, a subsidiary of Glucotrack, Inc. (Nasdaq: GCTK), today announced the continued participation of the University of Georgia’s Student Industry Fellows Program in the ai² Futures Lab™. The renewed collaboration expands Lōkahi’s growing nationwide network of academic institutions contributing to the identification and evaluation of underdeveloped, overlooked, or strategically deprioritized therapeutic assets. The program functions as a capital-efficient component of Lōkahi’s asset origination and evaluation process while providing students with direct experience addressing real-world biopharmaceutical business challenges.
Enhancing Therapeutic Asset Evaluation at Lōkahi Therapeutics™
During its first year, the ai² Futures Lab™ engaged 64 students and identified more than 45 potential acquisition assets. Several of these advanced into active pipeline discussions, demonstrating how the program expands Lōkahi’s sourcing reach and analytical capacity while supporting a disciplined and capital-efficient approach to pipeline development.
“The ai² Futures Lab™ was created to provide Lōkahi with a scalable, capital-efficient process for identifying and evaluating therapeutic assets that may have been overlooked, underdeveloped, or strategically deprioritized,” said Brian Peters, Senior Vice President, ai² Division, Lōkahi Therapeutics™. “In our first year, the participating teams identified notable acquisition assets, with several opportunities advancing into active discussions. That is meaningful early validation of the model and its ability to generate actionable opportunities for Lōkahi.”
As a returning participant, the University of Georgia will continue engaging students in projects focused on therapeutic asset identification, evaluation, and strategic assessment. Their work is structured to produce business-focused recommendations that Lōkahi can review for further diligence, partnership consideration, licensing, or potential acquisition.
The ai² Futures Lab™ is the execution layer of Lōkahi’s broader ai² platform, which combines experienced scientific, commercial, regulatory, and clinical judgment with emerging technologies to support disciplined decision-making. Through the Futures Lab™, that methodology is applied to active therapeutic opportunities rather than simulations or traditional academic case studies.
“Our continued participation reflects the strength of the experience and the value it creates for students seeking to understand how business strategy and healthcare innovation intersect,” said Andrew H. Potter, Director of the Office of University Experiential Learning and Head of the Innovation District’s Student Industry Fellows Program at the University of Georgia. “The ai² Futures Lab™ allows students to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges while developing practical skills that are increasingly important across the life sciences industry.”
The University of Georgia remains part of Lōkahi’s growing nationwide ai² Futures Lab™ network. New university participants generally begin with asset-identification projects and may subsequently expand into specialized business, clinical, technology, legal, or capital-focused tracks. This structure is intended to broaden the network’s analytical capabilities while preserving a consistent focus on real-world asset origination, evaluation, and strategic decision-making, including the Discover, Advance, Monetize framework.
