Invivoscribe Begins Commercial Shipments of PrepQuant™ Systems, Enabling High-Sensitivity Sample Preparation for MRD Testing

New automated platform is designed to improve the quality, efficiency, and consistency of DNA extraction and concentration from large-volume blood and plasma samples, supporting downstream assays capable of detecting disease-associated signals at MRD sensitivity levels.

Invivoscribe®, a global leader in precision diagnostics and measurable residual disease (MRD) testing, today announced that commercial shipments of the PrepQuant™ System have begun in North America. First unveiled at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting in April 2026, PrepQuant is now being delivered to customers, marking the platform’s progression from development and validation into commercial deployment.

The commercial milestone extends Invivoscribe’s capabilities into laboratory instrumentation and addresses a critical bottleneck in highly sensitive molecular testing: efficiently recovering, concentrating, and quantifying DNA from larger blood and plasma inputs. PrepQuant is assay agnostic, designed to produce concentrated genomic DNA and cell-free DNA (cfDNA) suitable for a full range of downstream molecular workflows, including MRD assays intended to detect very low levels of residual disease.

MRD Sensitivity Starts Before the Assay

Invivoscribe’s Role in Advancing MRD Testing

How Invivoscribe is Transforming MRD Testing

As MRD testing moves toward greater sensitivity, sample preparation becomes more critical to recovering rare disease-associated molecules. Larger inputs can increase the amount of DNA available for analysis, but they also create challenges involving extraction efficiency, DNA recovery, concentration, processing time, and consistency.

Many laboratories currently rely on separate protocols and instruments for extraction, concentration, and quantification. Each transfer can add hands-on time and create another opportunity for variability or error, while fragmented workflows can limit throughput as testing volumes grow. The concept for PrepQuant was informed by operational challenges observed across LabPMM, Invivoscribe’s global network of clinical laboratories.

You cannot detect what you do not recover.

An Integrated Platform for Larger Sample Inputs

PrepQuant integrates nucleic acid extraction, concentration, and quantification into one automated platform. By replacing multiple instruments and protocols with a standardized workflow, the system is designed to reduce hands-on labor, sample handling, variability, operating costs, and bench-space requirements.

The assay agnostic system generates highly concentrated genomic DNA and cfDNA for next-generation sequencing, capillary electrophoresis, quantitative PCR, and digital PCR assays. It is designed and validated for blood, plasma, and bone marrow samples, with additional sample types under development. Its broad compatibility establishes a platform for future PrepQuant kits and applications.

A Platform Opportunity Across the MRD Testing Workflow

PrepQuant extends Invivoscribe’s standardization strategy upstream of molecular analysis, complementing the company’s MRD assays, bioinformatics, and global clinical testing capabilities. Automation and standardization can make sophisticated workflows more practical as testing volumes grow and can support greater consistency across research, reference, and clinical laboratories.

“As precision oncology advances and MRD testing becomes mainstream, laboratories cannot focus on analytical sensitivity alone,” said Jeff Miller, CEO and CSO of Invivoscribe. “The ability to generate reliable molecular data begins upstream, with how the sample is processed and how effectively the available nucleic acid is recovered and consistently quantified. PrepQuant reflects our broader view that standardization across the entire testing continuum will be increasingly important as molecular MRD testing becomes integral both to monitoring disease and evaluating the effectiveness of new therapies.”

Commercial Availability

Initial PrepQuant Systems are now being delivered to customers in North America, with European availability early in 2027. Invivoscribe is currently developing additional PrepQuant kits to expand the platform’s capabilities to address the entire range of molecular testing workflows.
