Aidoc Collaborates with NVIDIA | Objective – to Establish Guidelines for AI Adoption In Healthcare

Aidoc, a pioneering force in clinical AI, today announced it is co-developing with NVIDIA a Blueprint for Resilient Integration and Deployment of Guided Excellence (BRIDGE), a guideline that aims to accelerate AI adoption across the healthcare industry.

Slated for release in early 2025, this industry-first guideline will offer a robust, evidence-driven framework for seamlessly integrating AI into clinical workflows, helping healthcare organizations scale AI innovation with greater speed and confidence. The guideline will help establish clear pathways for healthcare systems to fully harness the potential of AI in improving patient outcomes.

Despite the approval of over 900 FDA-cleared AI tools for medical imaging, healthcare systems remain mired in fragmentation, operational inefficiencies and scalability issues. The BRIDGE guideline will provide a comprehensive, vendor-neutral roadmap, helping address these persistent challenges and empowering providers to unlock AI’s full potential.

Breaking Barriers to AI Adoption

A key challenge for many AI solutions has been the failure to scale effectively because critical considerations around integration were not addressed early enough in the development process. The BRIDGE guideline will provide healthcare systems with direction on addressing scalability and interoperability from the start, enabling the implementation of AI solutions across multiple sites simultaneously.

Mediso Introduces True Theranostic TheraMAX SPECT/CT

The first global installation of the AnyScan TRIO SPECT/CT, TheraMAX at University Hospital Regensburg

Mediso is unveiling its new AnyScan® TRIO SPECT/CT, TheraMAX * scanner at the annual meeting of European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM).

The new TheraMAX is specifically designed for serving the clinical needs of theranostic imaging. It features detectors and collimators developed for Targeted Radionuclide Therapies carried out with radioisotopes emitting not only alpha and beta particles, but high and ultra-high energy gamma photons like 177Lu, 212Pb, 131I, 225Ac and beyond.

The TheraMAX is equipped with three, large surface detectors (up to 5x larger than 12-detector CZT systems) surrounding the patients completely (360°). The 15.9mm thick NaI crystals ensure improved sensitivity for high energy photons, while the high-density sensor arrangement (123 PMT per detector head) allows high spatial resolution leading to PET-like image quality in all NM applications.

The 300% sensitivity gain compared to conventional dual-detector systems enables whole body 225Ac SPECT/CT in theranostic imaging, while this extreme total system response also allowing ultra-fast quantitative total-body SPECT/CT scans with 99mTc and LEHR-HS collimator. Moreover, novel multi-pinhole technology combined with Triple-NaI-Detectors provide outstanding performance for cardiology and neurology.

The integrated CT offers three performance levels: low-dose diagnostic scans, ultra-low dose protocol for attenuation and scatter correction and even “Zero-Dose” imaging with AI-powered SyCT** (Synthetic CT).

The first global site for the TheraMAX is the University Hospital Regensburg, Germany. Following a recent installation, Professor Dr. Dirk Hellwig, the head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine said “the new scanner will boost our diagnostic and theranostic workflow, leading to better patient care and it also opens new possibilities in clinical research”.

Revolo Biotherapeutics Shares New Preclinical Data Showcasing the Potential of Sublingual ‘1104 in Allergic Disease

Revolo Biotherapeutics Limited (“Revolo”) today announced new preclinical data demonstrating the potential of its lead allergic-disease treatment candidate, ‘1104, as a SL formulation. The data shows that when administered sublingually via a dissolvable tablet in a lung model of allergic disease, ‘1104 achieves comparable positive results across multiple inflammatory immune cells and other markers of allergic inflammation to those seen with SQ or IV injections of ‘1104.

Additionally, the data continues to demonstrate the differentiated upstream MOA of ‘1104, restoring immune homeostasis by impacting both the effector and regulatory arms of the immune system with a persistence of effect for multiple weeks.

Specifically, SL dosing of ‘1104 resulted in reduced inflammatory cell infiltration, including eosinophils and neutrophils, comparable to SQ and IV routes. SL dosing of ‘1104 also led to a reduction of key T2 cytokines and allergen specific immunoglobulin (Ig)E, similar to reductions seen with SQ and IV administration.

“If successfully translated to the clinic, a sublingual option could represent a breakthrough in the treatment landscape for people living with EoE and other allergic diseases,” said Kari Brown, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Revolo. “The differentiated upstream MOA by which ‘1104 acts, alongside a favorable safety profile across multiple Phase 1-2 clinical studies and its potential flexibility in route of administration, highlights its potential use as a future first-line therapy.”

There is a strong need for additional treatment options for patients with EoE and other allergic diseases. Current therapeutics for EoE, the lead indication for ‘1104, include chronic subcutaneous monoclonal antibodies and oral options with significant safety considerations.
