Salt AI, the leader in contextual AI for enterprise applications in life sciences and health tech, today announced the addition of four accomplished executives to its leadership team. The appointments come on the heels of Salt AI’s recent $10 million funding round, underscoring the company’s momentum as it scales its adaptive SaaS pipeline across life sciences.

The expanded team brings decades of experience spanning biotechnology, AI, and commercialization–advancing Salt AI’s mission to help translational scientists and drug developers accelerate discovery and development with intelligent, adaptive systems.

Nate Beyor, PhD, Chief Business Officer — Formerly the global leader of Health Tech at Boston Consulting Group, Beyor brings more than 20 years of experience advising and scaling organizations across biotech, medtech, and healthcare. His expertise spans the full life sciences value chain, from R&D through commercial execution. At Salt AI he will oversee corporate strategy, solutions portfolio, and market expansion.

Bob Battista, Head of Commercial — Founder of Doctor Evidence and industry veteran in medical intelligence platforms, Battista brings proven leadership in data-driven commercialization and will drive Salt AI’s go-to-market and healthcare partnerships.

Toby Sayre, Vice President of Sales — Formerly with Concert AI, Sayre leverages experience across life sciences consulting, business development, and AI-driven solutions to accelerate Salt AI’s growth in biotech and pharma.

Dan Sheikh, Vice President of AI Solutions — Formerly with Thermo Fisher Scientific, Sheikh is a seasoned data engineer and machine learning expert with experience on both the buyer and provider sides of life sciences. He will lead the technical arm of Salt AI’s customer-facing team.

“Delivering real AI value in life sciences depends on pairing a world-class technology backbone with a deep understanding of the science itself,” said Aber Whitcomb, CEO/Co-Founder of Salt AI. “At Salt AI, we’re building that bridge intentionally — assembling a team that excels at both. With this new wave of industry-leading talent and fresh funding, we’re expanding our capacity to help organizations achieve breakthroughs that simply weren’t possible before.”

Salt AI’s expanding leadership reflects its growing influence in AI-driven biosciences, uniting data infrastructure and machine learning innovation to deliver practical, real-world impact for life science organizations.

Meet the team: On November 19, 2025 at the AIDDD Summit in Boston, MA, Toby Sayre and Dan Sheikh will demo Salt AI’s adaptive pipeline product, highlighting protein design for oncology targets, a preview of how the company’s strengthened leadership is translating into actionable solutions for researchers and developers.
