SGS to Host Webinar on Regulatory Aspects of Critical Care Mechanical Ventilators

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, presents a complimentary webinar ‘Regulatory Aspects of Critical Care Mechanical Ventilators: Basic Safety and Essential Performance’ on Friday, March 18, 2022.

SGS advises the high demand for critical care medical equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic led to an increase in the manufacture and certification of equipment. This also triggered temporary regulatory changes in diverse territories.

This webinar, presented by SGS medical devices test engineer Antonio Velasco Mota, will explore critical aspects of safety and performance testing for intensive care mechanical ventilators including a summary of existing regulations, recommendations on regulation and testing for critical care mechanical ventilators, the main standards (IEC, ISO) and their key points, as well as the testing which must be carried on critical care mechanical ventilators.

SGS notes this webinar has been developed for manufacturers of medical equipment, medical devices test engineers and regulatory compliance professionals for the EUT market.
