Kathy Sherwood, Senior Vice President, Global Market Access of Inspire Medical Systems, has joined Pelvital USA Board of Directors.

Kathy Sherwood is a seasoned medical device professional with 30+ years of industry experience including urology & pelvic health, cardiac rhythm management, neurology, obstructive sleep apnea, wound care, and diagnostics with experience in R&D, operations, sales, marketing, and market access & reimbursement.

Sherwood’s experience, which includes a diverse group of medical product companies such as Boston Scientific, American Medical Systems, St. Jude Medical, Kinetic Concepts, Transoma Medical and Medtronic, gives her an understanding of the problems faced by both large and small companies.

Kathy Sherwood has both U.S. and international experience having lived in the Netherlands for several years, leading a European market access and reimbursement function. In Kathy’s current position at Inspire Medical, Kathy has successfully led efforts to penetrate the market with a new technology to address an unmet and underserved need in obstructive sleep apnea.

Kathy Sherwood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical-Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis. She is active in outdoor sports and an involved supporter of charity organizations including the Children’s Hospital Guild and Habitat for Humanity.
